Kia ora! We're excited to have you join us in our mission to enhance Aotearoa New Zealand’s biodiversity.

Setting up your account

Setting up your account through our website is straightforward—just follow the steps below.

Step 1 : Sign up and set up your account

  1. Visit our website at treesthatcount.co.nz and click ‘Sign up’ at the top of the page.

  2. Sign up with your Google account, or enter your email address and choose a password.

  3. Complete the ‘Set up your account form’ with your details.

If signing up as an organisation (like a business, school, or NGO), use your organisation's name in the 'Name for this account' field.

  4. Hit the 'Submit' button.

Step 2: Verify your email

This step is only required if you manually signed up with your email address and password.

  1. After submitting, check your email inbox for a welcome email from Trees That Count.

  2. Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account.
(Tip: If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.)

  3. You'll see a confirmation that your email is verified, and you can head back to our website.

Step 3 : Complete your profile (optional)

You can update the avatar that shows on your dashboard, and other details within your profile account settings page here.

Note: Your account will stay hidden from our leaderboards until you add planting details or make a purchase. You can choose to keep individual purchases private, hiding them from the public view on our website.

Congratulations, your account is all set up! Now you're ready to explore and contribute to what Trees That Count offers. Together, let's make a difference.

Do I need a Trees That Count account?

No, you don’t need an account with us to make one-off donations or gift trees.

However, if you’d like to apply for trees for your planting project, make monthly donations or gift in bulk (to 10+ people at a time), you’ll need an account. With an account, you’ll be able to track your giving through your personal or organisations dashboard.
