Setting up your account
Setting up your account through our website is straightforward—just follow the steps below.
Step 1 : Sign Up
Visit our website at treesthatcount.co.nz and click ‘Sign up’ at the top of the page.
Enter your email address and choose a password.
Fill in the form with your details, including your name, account type, and phone number. Feel free to add a description of yourself or your organisation.
If signing up as an organisation (like a business, school, or NGO), use your organisation's name in the 'Name' field.
Hit the 'Submit' button to proceed.
Step 2: Verify Your Email
After submitting, check your email inbox for a welcome email from Trees That Count.
Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account.
(Tip: If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.)You'll see a confirmation that your email is verified, and you can head back to our website.
Step 3 : Complete Your Profile
Log back in with your registered email and password.
Click your avatar in the top right-hand corner, then select 'edit account' to add more details.
Fill in any additional information required, such as contact details.
Optional profile details: Link your social channels, add your website, a description, and upload a profile photo or your organisation's logo to appear on our leaderboards.
Click 'Save' to update your account settings.
Note: Your account will stay hidden from our leaderboards until you add planting details or make a purchase. You can choose to keep individual purchases private, hiding them from the public view on our website.

Do I need a Trees That Count account?
No, you don’t need an account with us to make one-off donations or gift trees.
However, if you’d like to apply for trees for your planting project, make monthly donations or gift in bulk (to 10+ people at a time), you’ll need an account. With an account, you’ll be able to track your giving through your own personal or business dashboard.
